Six Month Smiles

Clear Braces with Six Month Smiles | Zebra Dental Windermere
Straight Teeth. Less Time. Clear Braces.

Are you one of the millions of adults in need of adult braces who are unhappy, self-conscious or even embarrassed of your smile?

Many adults spend their entire lives covering their mouths when they laugh, smile or talk.  They feel stuck because they do not want to wear adult metal braces for years or they are concerned that other corrective teeth straightening procedures could be too invasive or too expensive.  Now, there is an effective, safe and affordable cosmetic braces solution that fits your lifestyle.

A revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques, modern materials, and innovative thought - Six Month Smiles® utilizes specialized clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth in an average time of just six months.

What Is Six Month Smiles Short Term Orthodontic Treatment?
Six Month Smiles® short term orthodontic treatment is a modern twist on tried-and-true orthodontics.  There is little debate within the orthodontic community that braces are the most widely used and most effective method to give patients straight, healthy teeth and a beautiful smile.  Six Month Smiles has taken the best aspects of braces and modified the treatment and the materials to give adults a common-sense, cosmetic solution that fits your lifestyle.  Here is what makes Six Month Smiles so innovative …

Adequate Information for Patients – Benefits and Risk of X-ray exposure

Your dentist needs to take an x-ray of your mouth to help with your care. There are many benefits associated with the use of x-rays, such as your dentist being able to see what their eyes cannot (such as inside your body to find hidden dental structures, malignant or benign masses, bone loss, and cavities). This is much safer than using invasive techniques such as surgery.

Dental x-rays are exceedingly safe, but like everything in life, there is a degree of risk involved – you will receive a negligible dose of radiation which carries a tiny (less than one in a 200,000) chance of side effects. Furthermore, your dentist will never take an x-ray unless the benefit to you exceeds the minimal risk. To put this into context, this dose of radiation is so small that it will be equivalent to what you receive in a few days from natural background radiation that is present in the surrounding environment.
